Top Food Delivery Apps on Android in Kenya: Q1 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, the food delivery app landscape in Kenya saw varied trends in downloads and active users across the top platforms.

Glovo: Food & Grocery Delivery showed a notable increase in weekly downloads, starting from around 10K and peaking at over 15K by the end of March. Active users also grew significantly, starting at approximately 186K and reaching over 280K, indicating a strong user engagement throughout the quarter.

Uber Eats: Food and Grocery experienced a decline in weekly downloads, beginning with 13K and dropping to below 1K. However, active users increased gradually, starting at 40K and peaking at around 50K, suggesting existing users remained engaged.

Bolt Food: Delivery & Takeaway maintained a steady download rate with slight fluctuations, ranging from about 3.8K to 5.3K. Active users saw a substantial rise, beginning at 59K and climbing to approximately 79K, reflecting growing popularity.

Dial a Delivery had varied download numbers, starting at 3.1K and dipping to as low as 562 before rising again mid-March to over 4.7K. Despite these fluctuations, the app maintained a consistent presence in the market.

Soko Yetu had modest download numbers, ranging from 386 to 553 weekly downloads, showing a steady, albeit slow, performance throughout the quarter.
